Since its inception in 1991, Sunfest has grown in both size and popularity and is now recognized as the number one summer event series in Saanich.  Some of the largest and most popular annual Sunfest events include Gorge On Art, Strawberry Festival, Cadboro Bay Festival, the Music in the Park series and Gorge Canada Day Picnic.  In our ongoing efforts to enhance Sunfest we are continually looking for new participants to join the celebration.

Sunfest events are enjoyed by thousands of residents in the Capital Regional District starting with the Gorge Canada Day Picnic and running until the first week of September.  There will be over 30 events ranging in size from walking tours and community picnics to large scale festivals that are free to the public and open to all ages.  Sunfest events are hosted by a variety of Community Associations as well as the Municipality of Saanich and are located in parks and Recreation Centres throughout the CRD.
